Acupuncture

It consists in the insertion of very thin (0.25 mm – 0.30 mm diameter), sterile and disposable needles, in particular points of the meridians (acupoints), thus activating different mechanisms that release hormones and neurotransmitters (including endorphins and serotonin) and rebalancing the altered functions that led to a disorder or disease.
